Kim Kardashian’s pictures are everywhere. As much as we all covet her beautiful mane, her makeup is also always flawless. Working those smoky eyes, golden bronzed skin and a super soft lip is in reach for you too. Just follow our tips!

1. Even out your skin tone with some Flawless Finish ($22) from Lift Cosmetics. Then get the perfect bronzed look by applying Lift’s Sun Touched Bronzer ($18) all over and Lift’s White Gold Eye shadow ($15) on your cheekbones to highlight.

2. Get that sultry smoky look with Lift’s Snow White, Nearly Natural, Taupe, and Black Magic ($15 each) Use the lightest colour on brow bone and the inner corner of the eye. Then apply nearly natural all over the lid and on your lower lash line. Add Taupe to your lash line and outer edge of the eye and then finish off by smudging black magic into the eye line.

3. Define your eyes a little more by adding Lift’s Onyx eyeliner ($14.50) and TONS of Super Lash Black Mascara ($16)

Wanna recreate the glamorous looks that celebs rock? Well with our Celebrity DIY we will give you the tips and tricks needed to get those super star looks!

Katy Perry is all over the radio lately and even more so her face is all over the magazines.

She has this amazing retro style that is played up in her makeup and with a few simple tricks you can pull of the same fresh fun makeup style.

1. Start off with a clean even base by applying your foundation all over.

2. BROWS are a must do with this retro look, lightly powder in your brows in a shade either one shade lighter for people with darker hair of one shade darker for you blonde ladies. Lift’s Toffee or Taupe ($15) make a great brow powder.

3. Highlight and contour your eyes with soft tones such as Lift’s Vanilla Ice and Steel Mist ($15)

4. LINER! To get that retro eye line map out the line first with a shadow like Lift’s Chocolate Brown Shadow ($15) then apply your liquid liner on top of that sweeping up at the outer edge of the eye.

It was MY TURN TO GET DOLLED UP!

It seems that over the past 5 years while running Lift Beauty Boutique, there haven't been many occasion where I, myself need to get dolled up! Or maybe there have been occasions but I've been too tired or busy to allow myself time to get the special treatment that we give everyone else!

Last week, that changed!

 


My boyfriend's close friend was getting married and the dress code was BLACK TIE! I didn't have a dress that was super fancy or fabulous and didn't want to buy a new one to be worn once, so I figured I would wear a simple black dress and make it FABULOUS with amazing Make-up, Hair and Accessories!

Oh, the Changes... and good deeds!

As you're all aware, things have been changing for Lift Beauty Boutique & The Lift Beauty Girls for the past few months...

We gave you all ample notice, so that you could get your FINAL cuts, and colours by the girls as 114 Cumberland!

For me, it was totally bitter sweet - sad that I wont be seeing some of you every 4-6 weeks - but totally exciting to move onto this new chapter and to see you in the comfort of your homes for AMAZING girls nights in, or special events!

Some of you brought us flowers, others brought cards and tears, but our lovely Candice brought us 2 amazing gifts...

As some of you may know, I have been a big supporter of cancer research and have advocated for donations in both money and HAIR. It was such an amazing feeling and gift to have one of my longest standing clients let me chop her beautiful locks off to be donated on my LAST day at the Salon. 

Over the years Candice has asked to cut her hair short a number of times, and I've always encouraged her to keep it long because it's beautiful and so that she could donate it one day without having to cut it into a pixie cut!

Although she says she said she was chopping it all off before I "left her" so that she could guarantee a good cut, and to spite me... I know she really did it out of the kindness of her heart!

I'm so thankful and I know who ever receives that hair will be as well. 

So Candice, I love you, I'll miss seeing you at the salon - but I'll see you in your home for a Girls Night In!
