This stunning colour is somewhere between Robin's Egg Blue and Tiffany's Blue!
It's ultra opaque and super creamy!
I'm generally not a fan of blues or greens on the nails, but Lauren was right - this is definitely an exception!

Summer Trend - White Linner

White Liner for Summer

No matter what ANY make-up company says, during the hot summer months my eye liner always smudges 

(unless I use Lift Liquid Liner, but sometimes I don't want such a heavy BLUNT line) leaving darkness under my eyes!

Luckily the summer trend for 2010 is WHITE LINER!! If is smudges it will just look like highlight! YAY!

So, Lift Cosmetics will be launching our White Liner - highlight stick for summer  2010 on June 1st!

On the Road again with The Lift Beauty Girls!

This weekend I had the honor of working, yet again, with one of my favorite ladies - Joy of The Amazing Make-upJunkie Blog

Bridal season is in FULL swing - Joy and I will be helping to make a number of brides dreams come true this year!

On Saturday we were warmly welcomed into Bride-Christina's home, where we met her adorable family and friends!

 Christina and Her Groom Bruno - Who we unfortunately didn't get to meet - were lucky with amazing weather and incredibly sweet and supportive family and friends! 

What a great group of brides-maids!

Here are some pics of our day with Bride Christina - Thanks again for welcoming us into your home and having us be a party of your special day! Xo 

 Christina asked for a classic bun with a modern flare, to match her modernized version of the traditional Lace Bridal Gown - By adding texture and volume to the the classic chinion I was able to give Christina exactly what she was looking for!

 Christina did ask for a natural look at her trial but as Joy completed what she had asked for, Christina realized she wanted a bit more! With a slight smoke on the eye, and a not so natural lip color Christina looked like herself, but totally glamorous for her big day!

Okay, So Lets talk Bridal Trends for Summer 2010:

Hair

Last Year most of my brides were asking to wear their hair down, with a loose wave. A soft, natural look. 

This Year it seems, most of my brides are asking for an updo! Most of them are still wanting that soft loose curl, but all UP! 

Make-Up

Last Year I think I heard "I want to look VERY natural," every time we did a bride.

This Year our brides and brides-maids want DRAMA! Smokey eyes, a strong lip, and dewy skin!

*Every Bride is different but these are some of the trends I'm noticing more often than not!

LIFT Cosmetics Get the Look: Bronzed Tropics Summer 2009

Summer time is all about summer fun especially when it comes to your makeup. Lift Cosmetics wants to help you get this season's hottest looks. Think tropical and sun-kissed and let your lips be the center of attention. Update your makeup bag with sheer shimmery shadows, colourful liners, golden-based blushes, and lip products in corals and oranges all from Lift Cosmetics!

Get the Look:

Step 1: Even out the skin tone with Lift Cosmetics' triple milled Dual Finish Powder only where needed. The point is to look flawless without the mask effect.


Step 2: You want your eyes to remain neutral but with a sheer wash of colour. Try #186 shadow, a golden-olive shadow from lash line to crease. Apply the same shade to the bottom lash line as well. To add some fun to the look we recommend using a coloured liner like Lift's Emerald Pencil Eye Liner. For an edgier evening look, use the Emerald liner on the top and bottom and smudge. Add a couple coats of our Waterproof Black Mascara which never smudges, clumps and contains nourishing ingredients for healthy lashes.

Step 3: Give your skin a beautiful bronzed glow with our triple milled Powder Bronzer (comes in 4 colours from light to dark). Apply bronzer where the sun would naturally hit you: cheekbones, forehead, nose, and chin. To enhance your bronzed skin apply Cupid's Kiss, an amber gold blush to the apples of the cheeks.

Step 4: These days, it's cool to wear lipstick. Lipstick is the sophisticated way to wear colour. If you normally shy away from these little sticks of colour, Lift has just the lipstick for you! Our Lipglass line looks like a lipstick but has the feel and look of a gloss! This season's hottest shade is Summer Solstice, a gorgeous coral-orange. To wear like a stain, apply lipstick and then blot with a tissue or use your fingers to apply.
